AC Logistics is a company that provides end-to-end logistics solutions for various industries, such as e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare in Zimbabwe. The company has a fleet of over 500 vehicles and a network of over 100 warehouses across the country. AC Logistics aims to deliver fast, reliable, and cost-effective services to its customers, while ensuring the safety and security of its cargo and staff.
Product Used
AC Logistics chose to use the KT-KP26, a rugged handheld computer that supports 5G network and runs on Android 10 OS. The KT-KP26 features a super 5G octa-core MTK CPU, a 6-inch HD display, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, a 6000mAh battery, and a dual SIM card slot. The device also supports NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and OTG functions. Moreover, the KT-KP26 has a built-in barcode scanner that can scan any code in a second.

Solution
Kingtop deployed 1000 units of KT-KP26 devices to AC logistics's warehouse workers, drivers, and managers. The devices were integrated with AC Logistics’ own software applications that enabled them to perform various functions. The warehouse workers could use the KT-KP26 to scan barcodes of incoming and outgoing goods, update inventory records, and check stock availability. Workers also can use it to receive pick lists, locate items in the warehouse, and verify orders before packing and shipping.
Except warehouse management, KT-KP26 supports borcodes scanning as well. After scanning a code, it captures signatures or photos of recipients, then generates invoices or receipts. In addition, the multiple positioning system makes drivers accessing GPS, traffic information hand weather updates easily. "I can plan the best routes for my deliveries beforehand after using this PDA.", David Olaya, a driver of AC logistics said.
Results
By using the KT-KP26 devices, AC Logistics was able to improve its efficiency and accuracy in its logistics operations. The KT-KP26 devices helped reduce about 80% human errors in inventory management and order fulfillment by automating barcode scanning and data entry. KP26 also helped save costs for the company by reducing paper usage, and improving safety for the staff and cargo by offering route optimization, weather alerts and emergency communication.
AC logistics was very satisfied with the performance and quality of the KT-KP26 devices. It also appreciated the after-sales service and technical support from Kingtop. AC Logistics plans to purchase more units of the KT-KP26 in the future to expand its business.
