In light of numerous incidents of allegedly unjust police actions against Blacks, the demand for police transparency has never been more urgent. The utilization of body-worn cameras seems an apt response, with the potential to both monitor police conduct and serve as an unbiased record of encounters between law enforcement and the community.

Research indicates that when police officers wear body cameras, their conduct and use of force are significantly different compared to officers not fitted with this technology.
